Perhaps while we are considering Smart Meters, Wind turbines in the lake, solar panels on our roofs and all the rest, we should consider a new kind of power grid that is more flexible than that old 'with us' or 'against us' model. Then when a problem occurs there could be faster recovery, less extensive outages and power sharing from the new flexible grid. Just dreaming?
